MANZOLINI, ANNA MORANDI

physician (1716-1774)

She held the chair of anatomy at the University of Bologna. She made a number of discoveries as the result of her dissections of cadavers. She made anatomical models out of wax that were highly prized by the University. These models were the archetypes of models used routinely in medical schools today.
