BORROMEO CLELIA

natural philosopher (1684 - 1777 CE)

She was a natural philosopher in the city of Genoa. The city cast a medal in her honor inscribing Gloria Genuensium, the Glory of Genoa, on it. This was because she was so learned in science, math, mechanics, and language. No problem in mathematics seemed beyond her comprehension. The clelie curve is named after her (1728 CE). If you are into mathematics - If the longitude and co-latitude of a point P on a sphere is denoted by q and f and if P moves so that q = m f, where m is a constant, then the locus of P is a clelie.
