Did you know that the Margaret Mead, the anthropologist, was honored with a stamp by the U. S. Postal Service. She is part of the "Celebrate the Century" series, appearing in the 1920's stamp set.
You can find an image of the stamp at the U.S. Postal Service Web Site. Go to their search area and put in Margaret Mead!

In that same stamp set there is one honoring the 19th Amendment to the U. S. Constitution. Do you know which one that was? Ratified on August 26, 1920, it gave the right to vote to women.

Old "Did You Know" sections are

Naming the Craters on Venus
